Respect the Shooter
When TheKevinJ told me he was ready for his first exhibition, I asked when, where and what. When was the event? The evening of Thursday, April 28. Where? Our favorite beautiful co-working space, Locale. What? What could I do to help? TheKevinJ has shot so many photos for me and I wanted to help in any way possible.Justin helped Kevin set up his frames the day of, while I set up beverages and snacks. The Life of Pablo streamed as DJ Sec&Wynd set up and the two began prepping the photographs for perfect wall placement.
Kevin started the night the most proper way possible, a one-on-one moment with his father. The both spoke French and his dad admired each photograph. Later in the evening, Kevin revealed his father sourced his inspiration and motivation to shoot today.
Tons of friends gathered to support Kevin. He gave two speeches that further explained his concepts, aspirations and artwork. I felt amazed and empowered watching one of my best friends successfully execute a remarkable evening.
